This is a one-hour long class introducing teens (Aged 12-16) to the foundation movements in CrossFit, including gymnastics, weightlifting and metabolic conditioning. The goal will be to help teens excel in other activities and sports they participate in, and of course, try new things and have fun!
These sessions will prioritise safety and quality of movement before progressing to speed and load. For example, weightlifting will be taught initially with a dowel before progressing to a loaded bar depending on how well they perform the movement.
As with our adult classes, we have different levels of ability in the teens class, hence movements and workouts will be scaled accordingly to ensure this safety and teach them proper technique.
As a new addition to our timetable, CrossFit Teens will take place of Fridays at 4pm, giving enough time for those attending to travel from school to the gym.
